GreenBusiness analyzes each client's needs on a case by case basis and then assigns appropriate experts and managers to meet that client's needs and goals.  The following are a few of the key people.

Stephanie Armistead  - Founder and President

Stephanie is principle and owner of the (The) Communication Works, a marketing communication and event production company.   Stephanie has worked in the event planning and sponsorship marketing industry for more than 20 years and established (The) Communication Works nine years ago.

Stephanie recently founded GreenBusiness Works™ as an extension of her company’s offerings.  GreenBusiness Works  manages client projects with experts who design specifically for each engagement by following a 'GreenScape" plan that allows customers to determine and modify extent of their meeting or event’s environmental impact. Stephanie has dedicated herself to worthy organizations such as Ovarian Cycle, Athletes for a Better World, and most recently, the City of Atlanta’s Greener Atlanta Initiatives.   Stephanie lives in Ansley Park and enjoys playing tennis, hiking, horseback riding and any activity with her4 nieces, 3 nephews and her incredibly adorable great-nephew.

“Going Green is important to me because of my awareness of climate change and the effect of greenhouse gasses on our environment.  Concerned, I began looking at the choices I could make to reduce my carbon footprint. After making simple lifestyle changes such as increasing the use of mass transit, composting and recycling, I began to assess my professional life. What changes could we make in our internal operations of the company and how could the company make an impact in the community? Having worked in the marketing communications and event production industry for more than 20 years, it became apparent that we could add another line of business to the 10 year old company, and thus, GreenBusiness Works™ began.”

Esther Ayers

Esther joined GreenBusiness Works™ in January 2008 as a Production Assistant.  Esther graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2005 where she majored in English and minored in Creative Writing.  After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles for a year where she worked as an assistant at Creative Artists Agency.  The next year she relocated to Chicago where she worked at Harpo Productions on The Oprah Winfrey Show.  Her coordination of Atlanta’s Green Team Leadership Program will be her first project with GreenBusiness Works™

"Living in California and Oprah’s Earth Day episode were the initial influences for my becoming environmentally conscious.  I started incorporating various green-living practices into my daily life and then, eventually, turned my newfound passion into a bigger idea, a Green Consulting Business, Green Girl Atlanta.  Returning back home to Atlanta, I'm excited about working with GreenBusiness Works™ and advocating sustainable living."

                      Rex Hauck, New Media Director

Rex Hauck has spent the last twenty years in communications, marketing, film and media.  He has served as a producer, writer, and director on feature films, national television specials and corporate marketing campaigns.   He is a tenured member of the Writer’s Guild of America and has been a member of the Director’s Guild since 1987.  His work in television has earned three EMMY’s.  He is currently a consultant on branding and media creation, working with a variety of businesses and non-profit organizations.

“I first became interested in environmental issues in the late 1970’s while studying for a Masters Degree in Oceanography.  Even then our planet was showing the effects of unsustainable lifestyle choices.  I chose to minimize my own life by eating locally grown food, recycling and supporting research and political action on planetary issues.  The contributing factors to the deteriorating state of our environment are complex and can seem overwhelming but answers are being found.  I have continued own my education most recently by training with Al Gore to deliver presentations on the relationship between fossil fuel use and the global climate crisis.”

                        Susan Schoer,  Event Producer

Susan Shoer is a writer, video producer and creative consultant with 25 years of experience in corporate communications and TV news.  As one of the founding producers of CNN Headline News, Susan honed her journalistic skills, which serve her well in her role as a creative resource for some of the world’s largest companies.   Susan’s strength lies in her ability to quickly get up to speed on the goals and objectives of a company or organization and then deliver high impact communications pieces that deliver results.

“Caring about the environment is important to me because I want my children and my children’s children and all future generations to be able to enjoy a healthy and joyful quality of life that will only be possible if we do what we can today to protect the environment and prevent further deterioration of our precious natural resources. In both my personal and professional life, I have learned that one person can make a difference and that together we can truly have a positive impact on the world we’re so fortunate to live in.”
